Hey y’all, so a few minutes ago I finished the new Sleepy Hollow episode, but since it’s late here, and I’m really tired, I will blog about it tomorrow.

thatgirlonstage: Hey so this is out of the blue, I know, but I saw you reblogged some Sleepy Hollow gifs. I've been thinking about starting it but I'm kind of on the fence, so... I don't know, could you give me pros and cons, maybe? Thanks!!

elisabethshannon:

Hey!

So, it’s been a while since I saw S1, so this is just from memory.

The show has:

Pros:

  • Awesome chemistry between the two leads,
  • Creative plots,
  • Fun to watch,
  • (Usually) A sharp sense of humor,
  • Diverse Cast,
  • (So far) Female leads who aren’t just romantic interests/plot devices,
  • Surprising twists,

And,

  • Headless Horseman who wields automatic weapons.

Cons:

  • Some episodes are slow,
  • Andy,
  • It takes the minor characters a while to develop,
  • Sometimes it can get a little cheesy.

Okay, this is what I can remember from it.

I hope this helps and that you give it a try!

thisandofthat replied to your post: So I just watched the trailer for Gone…

I don’t like him either! I’ve heard the book was great and the concept seems very interesting to me but UUUGGGHHH Ben Affleck.

“There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There’s .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I’m likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I’m grateful.”

Since klingon sex is basically violent wrestling, I wonder if the klingons don’t have BDSM but like the opposite. Klingons gathering in secrecy in dark cellars to engage in sweet, gentle loving, to the scorn of fellow klingons.

"How can you do that?" the other klingons ask. "You don’t even draw blood? Not a single furniture breaking? It doesn’t seem… natural".

"What is this… cuddle, you speak of?"

I was questioning that too like wouldn’t you put pressure on it so it would stop bleeding.

Yeah, and by the end of the movie, he was laying in a a pool of his own blood! Like, Orange and White both had jackets, why didn’t White put his on Orange!?

WIZARDING SCHOOLS AROUND THE WORLD: SCANDINAVIA

Formed shortly after the Kalmar Union in protest against Durmstrang’s growing acceptance of the Dark Arts, the Scandinavian Academy for Sorcery Studies is situated in an undetectable location in Hinnøya for students predominantly from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (and occasionally Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands on account of their historical associations with the region) whose parents preferred for them to be educated in a more sympathetic environment. There is a large heated bubble on the outskirts of campus created for astronomy studies (by far the most popular academic stream at the school) where students can observe the night sky with an unobstructed view. A particular branch of divination correlating to celestial patterns and the movement of stars is studied intensively, and students occupy a large portion of their time speculating various outcomes of the alignment of stars and planets (overheard in the halls: “If Venus and Jupiter had been two degrees closer, I guarantee you I would have found that rogue troll already. The planets have not been helpful lately.”).

For me, when Hannibal smells Freddie Lounds on Will Graham and realizes he’s been duped, the heartbreak of that is one thing. You see him sort of go quiet and interior after he gets a whiff of Freddie, and then that dinner scene afterward, where he essentially is telling Will, his best friend in the world that he has ever had, “I will forgive you if you come clean right now. All will be forgiven.” And Will doesn’t take it. Will continues to move forward with his betrayal, and it’s a very quiet, solemn, sad scene for me, watching Hannibal. And I did empathize with him, because regardless of what he’s done as a monster, we all relate to the intensity of a friendship that feels so unique, and when that falls apart, it is heartbreaking.
